- CHEMICAL-FREE GARDENS & LAND - The land has never been poisoned with any type of herbicides or pesticides. Only natural products are used on the gardens and fence lines. We also opt-out of line spraying with the power company.

- VINEYARD - We harvest several types of grapes and muscadines each year.

- PERMACULTURE GARDENS - Working with the land to grow food allows natural processes to help with watering, pests, and other common gardening woes.

- RAISED BED KITCHEN GARDEN - All raised beds on the homestead are constructed with the centuries-old hugelkultur method and produce abundantly year after year.

- POTATO CRIBS - The perfect combo of low-maintenance and high yield for a staple homestead food.

- HERB GARDEN - Filled each year with annuals, perennials, and transplanted wild edibles, this garden holds nutrition, flavor, comforting teas, and medicinals like oregano, horehound, cilantro, and echinacea to name a few.

** 16x40 two-bedroom & 1-bath cabin, built 2020 - We’ve designed a compact and functional cabin that comfortable houses our family of 6. This shed-to-house conversion features a master bedroom with attached office space, bunkroom, utility hallway for freezers etc, full kitchen, dining and living areas, stackable laundry space, oversized pantry room, full bathroom with standup shower, 2 crawl-in lofts that can be used for storage or extra bedrooms, and a bonus hidden room. We're busy putting a fresh coat of paint inside and making sure everything is in great condition for you to move right in. Flooring and ceiling to be finished in your choice of materials.

** 24x40 open pole barn, built 2021 - This giant barn is over 13' high at the eaves and could be enclosed or turned into a 2-story barndominium. It has post protectors, its own rain harvest system with 2 tanks for livestock, and grading for drainage.

** Poultry pens, pet paddocks, chicken tractor - Included with the homestead are a feed and tool shed, 6x12 poultry pen, a 12x12 poultry pen, a chicken tractor, and the birds' favorite ... a playpen where we throw all the kitchen scraps. The main livestock enclosure is a new red-top fence with 3 new gates. There are various other pens, gates, and fences staying with the property.

** Rainwater harvest systems (cabin & barn) - The house has its own water system, collecting rain through seamless gutters, a leaf catcher, a first flush system, and a 2000 gallon partially buried tank. The pump, oversized pressure tank, and family sized water heater are safely tucked away in the pumphouse. There is also an old hand-dug well near the cabin that always has standing water and can be made useful with very little trouble.

** 2 additional camper/shed pads - Bring in campers or extra buildings onto these 10x20 leveled and rocked pads. One is located close to the cabin, the other is more private with its own driveway.
