I mean, yeah, I'll chip in for shared road maintenance, but otherwise, please leave me alone. I want to put a shed on the land that I will live in while converting it to a small home. I want to be able to have a small vegetable garden. I love trees and want to have some. I also love creeks and ponds, but I think that water is likely out of my budget. I love rural, and the only thing keeping me from going as deeply rural as possible is the need to be able to get a strong internet connection as I make my living online. So long as I can access strong internet with a mobile hotspot, I can make do without a lot of modern conveniences. (already have a couple of solar panels and plan to have a composting toilet) I'd like to stay at $20,000 or below, and I'll be paying cash. Naturally, like everyone, I'd love to have as much land as possible for as little as possible. I want a minimum of one acre. I have a strong preference for north and east directions from Oklahoma City (where I currently live). North because every mile away from the equator counts in the summer, as far as I'm concerned, and east because....trees! School districts mean nothing to me as I am childfree, and thankfully menopause is making sure I stay that way. I intend to have a small dog and might get a few elderly chickens for insect control (don't want eggs). I will not have livestock, so I guess there is one more "restriction" I'd actually be fine with. I'm also open to Arkansas or Missouri.
